The day you Plasti Dip your vehicle, we suggest not going to a car wash for 7 days. After a week, you can wash your vehicle without any issues. There will be no risk of damaging your Plasti Dip. If you opt for an automatic car wash, we recommend choosing the basic version (without wax).
Plasti Dip can easily last 3 years or more without needing to be retouched. It's a very durable and resistant product. The spraying technique during application and the number of layers applied significantly determine the product's longevity. After 3 years, or during the three years if desired, a new refresh coat can be easily applied.
Plasti Dip is extremely resistant to elements, including sun exposure, winter ice, cold, salt, etc. Many customers Plasti Dip their wheels and cars specifically to protect the original surfaces from the winter season.
Plasti Dip is a solvent-based coating and does not resist exposure to gasoline. Please be careful when refueling your tank or working with gasoline around a Plasti Dip surface. For daily use, we strongly recommend using the Dip Guard protector. The Dip Guard is a universal product that fits almost all gas tanks and gives you more room for error when refueling your vehicle.
Yes, Plasti Dip really peels off. We suggest a minimum of 6 layers, not only for durability but to ensure it peels off in large pieces when you are ready for removal.
Xtreme Dip and our customers have been using Plasti Dip on vehicles for over 12 years, and it is not possible to experience damage on vehicles that are Plasti Dipped.
Dipped items or a full Plasti Dip on your vehicle can be easily hand-washed with the Sup Wash product, although we strongly recommend our products available in-store.

From our experience, we have found that Plasti Dip tints vehicle lights very well. We apply 2 layers to give a 50% tinted look, as more layers would not be legal on the road.
